How
much does it cost to stay at the Hospice Suites?
The cost to stay at the
Hospice Suites is paid 100% by Medicare/ Medicaid and most insurance companies

stay at the Hospice Suites, but they and/or the family want to extend the
stay, and they have the means to pay, then a rate may be negotiated with
the Hospice Suites.

care for their patient at the Hospice Suites and can they get paid?
Yes, physicians who
would like to apply for and receive hospital privileges may care for their
patient at any time. They continue to bill under Medicare Part B.
What are
the benefits of staying at the Hospice Suites versus staying at the hospital?
In the hospital, the focus is on the patient's disease process. At the
Hospice Suites, the focus is on the patient and family and their individual needs.
Hospice believes that patients and families are the true experts in their
own care.
How is a patient discharged from the Hospice Suites?
The Seasons Hospice Suites staff works closely with the patients and families

care for patients and families when they leave the Hospice Suites when the
patient remains on the hospice program.
Can the Hospice Suites staff inform
patients about advance directives (power of attorney for health care/living
will), funeral plans and other end-of-life matters?
Yes. Members of the hospice team are able to assist patients and families
with these important decisions.
When a patient goes home from the Hospice
Suites, who will pay for transportation, medication and equipment needed
at home?
Hospice will pay for transportation home. Hospice also pays for equipment
and medications related to the patient’s hospice diagnosis.
